William (Bill) B. David
Member, Jacksonville Community Research Advisory Board
After a 35-year career in information technology, William (Bill) B. David worked for the City of Jacksonville managing an initiative that worked to close the racial gap. While in that role, he attended a meeting sponsored by Mayo Clinic called “Healthy Black Families” and felt moved by the speaker’s words: “Without your health, everyday things don’t matter.” From this meeting, David was invited to be one of the founding members of the Community Research Advisory Board, where he quickly became aware of the disparities in health care.
