Rochester Healthy Community Partnership

RHCPRochester Healthy Community Partnership (RHCP) began in 2004 as a partnership between local community organizations and researchers to address health concerns of the community. Its first project was addressing tuberculosis (TB) prevention and control in the community.

RHCP matured by creating operating norms, establishing meeting schedules and adopting community-based participatory research (CBPR) principles. RHCP has also grown to include other dedicated partners from community-based organizations, area schools and universities, local medical centers, and many community volunteers.

RHCP has become experienced at designing and carrying out programs for health with community partners that identify health priorities within their communities, using a CBPR approach.
